OT - spiders

Might be an idea to ge the bite checked out. The greatest danger from most spider bites is not the venom but the bacteria that go with the bite. The bacteria can cause ulcerations and all sorts of nasty side effects, and sometimes they can take months to heal. Better safe than sorry, and bacteria can be treated quickly and easily in most cases.

Hi, there are two fairly reliable ways to get rid of spiders: 1) have a good company come out and spray your house thoroughly and then have them come back and baseboard spray on a regular basis; 2) keep scorpions in your house.

I'm not fond of either method and as a result I tend to have a lot of spiders. I think that having a very tight house would help keep them down. But spiders can really come in through the tiniest space.

Do go to a dr. Even if the spot of the bite is healed. My sis was bitten by a brown recluse some years ago. The bite wound finally healed but later the healed over spot just collapsed. All the flesh under that top layer of skin had deteriorated. It was really a problem and treatment went on for a long, long time.
