OT Thanks

Pat, I'm not a green-lover, but I must admit that purple and green are a beautiful combination. :) What are you going to do with that kit that pushed its way into your arms?

Howdy!

Barn Raising quilt in half-square triangles, in blues & light prints, about 50"x60", doubles as playing mat and bed cover. Something like this:

was almost finished w/ piecing & appliqué (perfectionist Paula) when it disappeared from her quilt shop; it was a crushing blow, and quite a mystery; they duplicated it as best they could, calling on all the local quilters to help replace the same fabric, so we dug thru' our stashes & helped as much as possible; the 2nd quilt wasfinished and quite a beauty, but didn't have the same "feel" for Paula;just before competition time began the 1st quilt reappeared on the porchat the quilt shop; hmmm... no clues to where it had been or how ithad traveled, but it went on to win ribbons and awards at several quiltshows, local & national, including the AQS in Paducah.Dear Paula: R.I.P.

Oh my ... if quilts could talk! That baby quilt will be terrific. I like a big quilt ... to last into preschool years. PAT
