OT: The Power of "Us"

I just was reading the good news about Judie's sister when something struck me: why is it we all concentrate our prayers good wishes and strength for each other only when something hard strikes? I know I keep you all in my prayers, but not like the way we all do when trouble comes.

So what if on a specified day at a specified time this newsgroup joins all our power of prayer and light and love for each other and our troubled world?

I'm not suggesting that we don't keep on helping each other in times of need, but I wonder what we could bring about if we all wrapped each other in light and prayer and love at the same time? Just a thought.

Hugs to all, Sunny who is feeling a need to hold my sisters by choice close to my heart

Count me in! You've all been a comfort to me many times over the years and I am always grateful and happy to return the favor. I know I don't reply to the group every time but I do reply by sending my best wishes and hopes to whoever may be in need.

My sister is doing ok, her vitals are good. She's had a lot of pain and as a result has had dry heaves, not pleasant by any means. She's still pretty heavily medicated but has been smiling. I have a number to call her in her room as soon as her husband gets the ok and passes it along to me. She's not ready for talking yet and I'm not sure if she understands that the tumor wasn't malignant, although my brother in law says she does.

I'll keep you posted and I'll be keeping all of you in my heart,

Jeanne,

Her hug did arrive, she hadn't seen it yet as of late last night. She was having a really hard time with the pain or pain meds, something making her very sick at her poor tummy. Wrenching pain when the body wants to vomit. Probably more than anyone would either want or need to know, sorry.

She sill be more awake today and will probably better understand the wonderful news about her growth. NO CANCER, I just feel like shouting!

Will keep everyone posted. I told her the night before the surgery that the quilt was not made to especially keep her warm, but it was made to warm her heart. I could hear her smile at that.

Circle the wagons and each of us need to take a turn standing in the middle to get all the Love, Prayers, and Hugs sent forth for a Very Happy New Year. Our household is looking forward to GREAT NEWS this coming year. It has to change sometime.

IF her meds were/are anything like what they gave me when I had 'lung surgery' then "no, she doesn't understand". she may seem to but the memory will NOT last. He needs to tell her everytime she sees her. I was told that all the nurses on the floor 'sang HB to me on my HB. I don't remember it. I do remember telling DD that she MUST attend class but don't remember if she did. (Found out later that she left the room for a bit, came back, and I was fine with her having gone) Her Prof worked with her thru my hospital stay. I don't even recall coming home from the hospital. First real memory was DD sitting next to me turning the magazine pages as I was too weak to do it.

Butterfly (KEEP tell>> I just was reading the good news about Judie's sister when something
