OT- Update re DH in hospital

As of today, it looks as though he'll be coming home on Thursday! The physical therapist was in today, and she said he'd probably have a couple more sessions tomorrow and then they'd be ready to kick him out.

I told him today that I'd asked all of you for prayers/good thoughts for his continuing recovery, and he told me he'd been feeling them. Thanks to all of you for your good wishes - and now you can keep your fingers crossed that I actually might meet KJ tomorrow!

That's great Louise. I will continue to send prayers and hugs for you both while he finishes his recovery.

By the way, were in IA are you. I assume somewhere close it Iowa City of you're working and going to the hospital? I'm near Ames.

We're in Marion, and believe me, I've said more than once over the past couple of days that I'm glad we live as close to Iowa City as we do!

I'll thrown in my even better news now: HE'S HOME!!! (Yes, I'm yelling!). They called me this morning and asked me to bring down his walking stick (he made it himself, gave it to Grandpa when Grandpa had problems walking, then Grandpa gave it back when he needed a walker, and DH used it to get through his two knee replacements), because they were sending him home this afternoon. It's been a really good day!

Yea!!! The meet up didn't happen due to the wonderful news of Louise's DH going home. I was still doing my "nap study" and realized this morning that a first time meet up while covered with electrode patches in my hair and face really wasn't going to make a good impression. Then I thought I'd go find Louise this afternoon after they took them off. Yeah sure! Those suckers are GLUED on!! not just stuck on with an adhesive patch....it needs acetone scrubbed on it for removal. Ouch! You can imagine how I looked after the scrubbing! I still have hunks of glue in my hair. Off to the showers. Anyway, I'm so glad Louise and her DH are back home together. KJ

I'm glad we're home too, but I still would have loved to have had a meet-up with you -- glue and all! Hey, remember, I've already seen your picture, so the electrodes wouldn't really have been a first impression.
