Some OT things and some very on topic. <G>

Hi all. Just a quick note to ask for some positive thoughts tonight. (Fri.) and on through the weekend. Wed. night I was in for an overnight sleep study. I do have apnea, and some other problems. None life threatening, but probably the reason for the no energy, constant headache and so on. (Basically I am not really sleeping/resting when I am "asleep".) So tonight I go back for a night with a C-PAP machine. Will get the results on Mon. Hopefully this will help and I will be able to get things done.

Good, quilty news......... Got my prize check from Hoffman too. And have spent most of it already. Got lots of stuff, quilt books, quilt software, fabric, thread, embellishments. So really want to feel like doing things with all this stuff.

Also, got a letter from the lawyer about my aunt's estate. If all goes well we may be getting this all straightened out and get the money distributed by Thanksgiving or Christmas......... If you have a chance please put some good energy out on that too. (More stuff planned with that money...... reorganizing the house, maybe replacing carpet with "hard surface" flooring, and a "Tin Lizzie 18" quilting machine..... )

Need to go get stuff ready to head up to the hospital in a bit.

{I am behind with all sorts of things, but happy dancing with all celebrants, condolences where warranted, sending good thoughts/positive energy to all who need it. }

Fingers crossed and wishing all good things for you Pati. I hope you do as well on the CPap as others have done. I was to have an appointment with a sleep doc today, but had to reschedule because I've been "cleaning my pipes" today in preparation for a procedure tomorrow morning. Whoopee! Have a restful night. KJ

Good luck, Patti! With all of the endeavors. I hadn't heard about the Hoffman award, belated applause!

Good luck! I did it about a month ago. Needless to say -- the CPAP may help us sleep -- but it sure is an overwhelming contraption to sleep in. I brought mine home and haven't even set it up yet. Guess I'm a little reluctant to climb into bed next to DH with such a funny headdress. My sleeping has improved tho -- since I started a regular exercise regimen. Part of my reluctance is that I read every night before bed... and there isn't room on my nightstand for both the CPAP and my light! I've been reading before I sleep for nearly 40 years... can't (meaning don't plan to) change that habit!

Oh well... hope things go well for you!

WhoOoOoOoo... Fingers crossed! If it *is* right for you, you will feel soooo much better! Fingers crossed! LOTS of fingers crossed!

That's a very good way to feel!

Sending lawyer vibes your way...

Don't worry about all that! You just get yourself fit. :)

Kate,

My DH has his machine sitting on the floor next to the bed (well, the bottom shelf of the nightstand now, but on the floor before we got the nightstand) and it works just as well. Then you won't have to move your lamp! We always read in bed before shutting down for the night, and you don't have to change that - ever!

But do please try it. Don't worry about the funny headdress. I did have a few nights where I half woke up and was a little confused, even panicked once because I had a nightmare and then saw the contraption on my DH and thought he was on life support....but spouses can deal with things fairly quickly - especially if it is better for the one we love! Talk to him about it if it will help you and tell him your worries! You'd be surprised at the amount of support you'll get!

I have the ugliest nightstand beside my bed. It would make the decorators throw up - or at least throw up their hands and back away screaming. I've stacked two plastic bins and the top gives me plenty of room for my 'gotta haves'. Naturally, the insides of the bins are grand places to store good stuff. The bedrooms with a tasteful arrangement of silk roses and a seashell might be charming but not something I could live with. We are just so eager to hear how your night went. Will they tell you pretty soon what their conclusions are? Polly

Pati, I hope the C-PAP works for you. Sounds like things are falling into place for you, and you've got my positive thoughts and prayers that they continue! Keep us updated, okay?
