OT: Vacation, finally!

My husband and I are leaving early Monday morning on a real vacation, just the two of us. We are going to Holden Village, a Lutheran retreat that's really remote. No telephone service (including cell), no computer internet availability, just peace and quiet and as close to serene as I expect to find. There are art and craft rooms available during the day, classes, devotionals, daily Vespers service and plenty of amazing hiking trails for DH. There is even one trail -- fairly flat and only a mile -- that goes to waterfalls and I'm determined to do it.

I'm trying to get some kind of project ready to take along, something that I can do hand embroidery and beading on. It's hard coming up with something.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to a restful and peaceful week completely out of touch with the whole world, just me and DH.

I'll be back in a week or so, hopefully rested and filled with new ideas and energy.

Hugs to all, Sunny

This sounds ideal to me! It's like when we go camping at a state parkfor a couple of weeks, except we are in a small motor home and take the cell phone for emergencies. So nice to leave home for awhile! I sometimes dread coming back to real life! Barbara in SC
