Pics of Finished and Alaksa Quilt

Hi all

Finally have pictures of everything and all organized a bit and such. Here they are. I hope the link works. Things are strange lately.

I made the menorah, put the binding on the skirt, stack nine-patch and got the baby quilt top done during the too weeks that Bert was gone to Michigan in October. Finished the baby quilt over Christmas break.

The first pics are of the Menorah wallhanging that I made for a friends mom and survived the holocaust with her father through Russia, China and finally the US. A very special lady. The candles are "lit" by velcro.

Next are the nine panels of the 50th anniversary celebration of statehood quilt. Interesting to see peoples interpretation. The quality of workmanship ran the full range but I was glad to see so many participated. Wish I had heard about it to enter a square to be considered.

Next our new Christmas Tree skirt. The pattern is partially a stack and whack. The originial instructions were to create a corded binding, layer, that, the binding, top and backing, turn and then quilt. Can you imagine what a nightmare that could have been. I just layered, quilting and then bound. I was going to take a picture a long time ago but I came home from work one day and Bert had the tree up with the skirt underneath. Had to wait until all the decorations came down.

The next is a baby quilt for Wyatt that who is now three years old. I had made one for his sister and brother and then, oops, his mom asked if I could make one more.

More stack and whack from the same material as the Christmas Tree skirt, but a different variation.

Lastly, two cross stitch blocks that I did. I need to get them framed.

Thanks for the pictures of the Alaska quilt. I'm sure the Menorah wallhanging will be treasured by the recipient. All of your work is very nice. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! So happy to see the Alaska quilt in all its glory. Some real beauties there. The block with the dancing bears and the helicopter mosquitoes made me smile.

Your work is fantastic as always. Love the tree skirt! and the velcro candles was a great idea. Roberta >Hi all

Thanks for sharing these, it's always a pleasure to see what you've been up to.

I have seen a lot of Christmas tree skirts but I think this is my favorite.

Wow, I love the tree skirt. It's really gorgeous. And the wallhanging is really great, too. LOL, you maybe should just make those baby quilts in groups of 6 and keep one ready at all times. I can see why "mom" would want another one for baby #3.
