Hi everyone!

I had the Wonderful opportunity to go to my first quilt show this past weekend - the Pacific International Quilt Festival. So here's the question - I took a lot of photos (unfortunately many came out blurry because I had a setting wrong on my camera..but anyway...) I put them in a file and would love to post them so everyone can see them. Is this okay? There's always talk of copyright and this and that. I don't recall a sign that said anything.

So my question - Is it okay for me to post an address to my picasa album for you all to see some pics?

Thanks!

I can't find anything on their website about whether it's okay to post pictures or not.

Personally, I don't post pictures of quilt shows online because I'd hate to stumble across a picture of one of my quilts without knowing it was out there. If someone asks, I'm fine with it, but I don't like being surprised.

Also, it seems like a photo of a quilt is a derivative work, so if anyone has copyrighted their quilt, posting a photo would be an infringement. But I'm no copyright expert, so take that with a huge grain of salt. :)

Yeah - I think that's why I asked, I had reservations. I wouldn't want to upset anyone! Maybe it's not the most prudent thing to do! Well, it was extremely motivating and awe-inspiring. There is a lot of talent and creativity out there!
