Hi! I am so glad that it's September! Summer in Iowa has been kind of a bust with all the flooding. Out of 99 counties, 98 were declared Disaster areas.
Anyway -- to be on topic -- I have some wonderful metallic fabric in my ever-growing stash. I can't seem to get enough of the "Fairy Frosts." I am working up the gumption to actually use some it, but have a question that I've never seen addressed before.
Does any of that lovely silver or gold metallic stuff fade or "melt" of when washed? Do I need to reserve it for wall hangings that probably won't get tossed in the washer much?
Also - in the same thought pattern -- is it safe to use in a baby's quilt? Is any of it harmful to a baby breathing, chewing on, rubbing his/her bare bottom on?
Hope all of you have been OK this summer. I'm happy for cooler nights. :)
