Don't worry Redrose. It was weeks before I found out! QI = Quilt Inspector, usually any pets we might have who seem to like snuggling down on fabric, quilts or watching the sewing machine! . In message , redrose writes

usually (and I have a big fat orange furry one) but I have a 2 legged and feathery one too... I don't suppose the slimy wet scaly one can be considered a QI. All he does is wiggle and bite anyways. (yes BITE. It is an Oscar, they are evil creatures!)

Ah yes, we got a new QI.
A black, red, and purple beta. DD has named him Lucifer. She dutifully held her quilt up to the tank so that he could check it out. So he is an official QI.
