It does take a few moments to load the images but well worth a look. Nothing has been set up like this for the NSW and Vic floods but you can get the picture of the devastation for all of the victims - five states have had flooding hardly ever seen before.

On a lighter note, at least the drought has broken.

I've never personally experienced flooding in my own home -- but my Sister did -- in all places... Columbus, Ohio!! She had water from the floor of the basement - up to about 30 inches in the main floor of the house. Walk around and look at everything from your knees down and imagine it in gross, dirty, muddy water. Open the fridge and the veggie drawers are full of brown water. You really have to see it first hand to understand the absolute devastation.

Prayers for all those down under who are so profoundly impacted by these flood waters.
