Are there certain finishes I should stay away from when finishing a wood quilt rack? I don't want any coming off on the quilt.

I read somewhere that you should put a layer of muslin on the wood part before you drape your quilt on it. Same advice for storing fabric stash on shelves. Linda

I have finished quilt racks various different ways and have not had any trouble, but maybe I have just gotten lucky. Megan
