Quilting again after a long break

Jan 25, 2010 5 Replies

After about two years of neglecting my quilting, I'm back to it! since we bought our house and moved in October (our very first home of our own!) I have actually had more time in the day. We got rid of a LOT of stuff in the move, and the result was less to take care of, a more organized space, and generally more time to play.

The first order of business is to get those UFOs finished...you know, the ones I've had sitting around forever. But I also have to make two new quilts since they are gifts I'm giving this year.

Finally getting around to making a Harmonic Convergence...yes, I realize most are past that, but I have had it on the list for a long time, and just have to do it....especially with music fabrics for my chorus conductor.

Finding about an hour a day to play is really easy to do now, and I'm enjoying it so very much. I've missed being here with y'all, and plan on participating more now that I can get on newsgroups again.

Welcome back Jenn. It's good to see some names of the past.

Jenn, I still have people who ask me to teach the basic Convergence/Harmonic Convergence quilt class. It is a wonderful quilt style and always different. Each time I teach it the students are surprised at how well it works, with whatever fabric.

Have fun, and welcome "back", Pati, > After about two years of neglecting my quilting, I'm back to it! =A0since
