On Tues I went to MA to visit an Aunt who came up from Florida. On my way down I planned for a pit stop at Keepsake's Quilting. What a ride it ended up being. For some unknown reason, someone or something did not want me to get there at a decent hour. It took more than 5 hours to get there and the trip is usually 4 hours. I took the scenic tour. I just love going through the mountains. There were some weather conditions high up in the mountains that kept me from normal speed but the annoying part was not finding the route I needed to connect with another route. I kept having to make last minute changes.
I did finally arrive and little did I know that Keepsakes had moved to the other end of the plaza. I must say that I was a tad disappointed. I guess after the road trip I expected to be mesmerized by the availability of fabrics to fondle. The new place is much smaller than the previous one and they also have a needlepoint section, further reducing space not devoted to quilting. When you first walk in your are in the children's section, which I though was odd. They had a very small section of books and pattern. I did manage to drop $100 but had to work really hard to achieve that. I did get some unusual batiks and a couple of unique kid's print (Jelly beans and penguins). Can you believe I barely spent 45 minutes in there and I didn't even have to control myself?
Once in MA I did visit one of my favorite quilt shop The quilted Crow
My fabric is sitting on my cutting table waiting to be paired with futur projects. Will have to not wait so long before is have some S.E.X. Thanks for reading about my trip.l
