Just finished the other quilt I was stitching for a Christmas present. Only finished it today, but the recipients aren't back from visiting family until this evening, so just in time! It was started as part of a Christine Porter class I attended in Bath. I wasn't sure I had chosen the right fabrics (most people did a far more complex colourway rather than the simple two fabrics for the centralk square) but after the borders went on I really liked it. I like the setting, not straight on and not on point either, I think it works well with designs like this and wondered if anyone else had interesting ways of setting squares? It made all the difference to the overall look:

Anyway, I know they'll like the colours and though I can see mistakes, I'm hoping they won't look with quite such a critical eye.
