We had a discussion here a few months ago about using shower grab handles with suction cups to affix to our rulers, so we would be bearing down on our arm and knuckles instead of on our spread fingers. Some vendor we found on line wanted ~$18 dollars for such a handle designed for quilting; the shower grab handles were more like ~$14.
I found a handle yesterday in my LQS specifically for quilting for $5.10, and I'm very pleased with it.
