One of the local fabric shops is closing up (Hancock's) and they are having a great sale. If I get to that part of town, I'll take a look at their fat quarter bundles and maybe pick up some to bring to you when I am there this month. And just *what* is wrong with purple, I ask??? It's absolutely THE best color -- besides green -- that there is!!!! HHRRUUUMMMMPPPFHFFHHHH, just WHAT is this would coming to?? No purple, PIFFLE :-))))) I'll have to check my stash, I have several kitty prints that are close to a tone on tone. If you aren't going to have any purple in this quilt, you at least need to have some kitty cats!!!!! See you soon :-)))). CiaoMeow >^;;^<

great thanks!!

err purple... I'm afraid that for me the only thing going for purple is that it's part of the rainbow and as such occasionally needs to be used - right now I'm working on a **pink** and **purple** quilt for the magazine and well lets just say that it's up hill all the way :-( I will be glad when it;s handed over and I can start on the next project! all yellows, reds and oranges - a sight for sore eyes :-D

yes kitties would be great to have! I will say that I do have some nice cat fur TOT's in there already and the quit needs that- small prints with colour are also fun as long as a squint eyes look at the fabric says a certain colour to you :-) I need to head for my stash soon and start cutting more squares too - with the retreat coming up soon I need a good stash of squares to do handwork in the evenings when I'm not sewing at 120 miles an hour :-)

I've dug through the scrap bag and cut many hucks at least 2.5". Do you want to mix batiks with the regular fabrics? I assume you would rather I spent my time cutting more fabric than ironning the pieces so you will have to do a little work when the package arrives. Hope I am more prompt about mailing this package than I am about mailing Polly what I have promised her.

Susan, I don't think anyone objects to ironing/pressing quilting fabric. Any other ironing could be completely different....LOL

batiks are wonderful too :-) Ironing/pressing isn't required beforehand - they will probably get squished on the way anyway ;-)

GMTA Dee! I'd rather iron a mile of pretty fabric than iron a shirt hehehe

great thanks!

it's actually fun to hear what you will be doing today - I too am tired of winter though we barely saw any snow - we have been almost "drowned" with all the rain we got! good thing there is good drainage here! time to think up a nice spring project for the mystery group :-)
