SINGER 222k

My DH has been bidding on FW 222ks for quite some now, and he finally one an auction for one. It arrived in mail today. What a sweet little machine it is -- except that it is wired for England and not the US.

We are now the proud owners of 5 FW 221s in black , 2 in white and one 222K, not to mention an old 85 (I think) and a treadle. He really needs to learn to sew.

Congratulations, Elizabeth! Will you get the 222 rewired, or are you going to use it with a transformer?

Hi Elizabeth,

You scored a wonderful little machine, as you know. It sews the most beautiful little stitch.

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations! That's great when you find an old machine like that. About 10 years ago I found a 201-2 at a garage sale for $10. It had the cabinet, instruction book, and ALL of the attachments including the original tube of grease. I paid to have it cleaned and have the electrical cords replaced because the protection on the outside fell off. It's a great old machine.
