I'm making five quick snuggle quilts- to be finished this week. Yikes! All are based on 6 in. blocks- Warm Wishes, Trip Around The World, Rail Fence... so far. I've tacked many quilts, but usually in a random pattern. These quilts seem to be calling for something not random. Since I'm using a pillow turn (birthing) and Warm & White batting (pre-washed/shrunk) I can have the tacks as far apart as 12 in. So..... Do I tack in the center of each 6 in. block or at the intersections, somewhere in between the centers and intersections or what? I've never pondered this before, so throw some pros and cons at me! (Anal perfectionist Virgo that I am all the intersections match just fine, so nothing to 'hide' with tacks! VBG) Also, I'll be tacking with little hearts on one quilt, little flowers on another, etc. Only the quilt for the father will have actual bar tacks.
