Finished... and an apology

I've been pushed to the max getting some snuggle quilts done- FIVE of them in less than 2 weeks. Throw in my mom leaning on me with her breast cancer diagnosis (I'm the eldest and only daughter), the root canal and my truck's flat tire that took up all of yesterday, then changing weather making my body unhappy and some time-outs for shopping and making caramels.... whew! So the only real breaks I've had was my visits to RCTQ. I think I am have been a bit 'opinionated' and testy and I apologize- I was just so tired and my mind whirling a thousand miles an hour planning how to get the most done in the shortest amount of time. I'll be back to my normal 'sweet' self soon. VBEG I'm truly sorry if I came on too strong or hurt anybody's feeling.....

Any way, my church adopted a family for Christmas and I decided to 'pay it forward' (or is it PLAY it forward? I can't ever remember!) from my beautiful hug quilt. I made a quilt for each member of the family- the dad, mom, 5 y.o. son and daughters 7 and 12. I just finished a few minutes ago. They are simple quick pieced quilts using stash fabric to save on out of pocket costs. I had to work with what was on hand which dictated what patterns I could use. I used pillow turn (birthing) and machine tacking to save time and get them finished by today. You'll see where I ran short on a few borders and had to get inventive. VBG

So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Good grief, you've had a whole lot going on! No need to apologise at all! Give the furbabies a pat -- my furbaby is snoring her way through an afternoon nap at the moment.

Opinionated? Testy? well..... hmmm........ well........

I think I'll just go play with some fabric and stay out of trouble. Ouch! (oh - that was me - just givin' a little bite on my tongue - not to worry)

Leslie, I haven't noticed any testiness from your direction! As it is, though, if you *were* testy, you'd have good reason to have felt that way. The quilts are wonderful -- let me guess: the one with the cement mixer trucks is for the mom, right? ;)

Well done Leslie - clap, clap, clap. They are beautiful. That sunflower one is superb, great fabric find and usage. You should be proud, the family will love them to bits. I know I would. I think the border inventions are masterly!! dead clever (as they would say in the north of England >gI've been pushed to the max getting some snuggle quilts done- FIVE of them

Heck. I missed the testy post. My newsgroup receiving is 'iffy' at best. Sometimes, I may even have myself blocked but if you've been churlish, I really hate to have missed that. Might have helped my own anger management. Occasionally a good spurt of Cranky Pants does us all good. Polly
