Does that mean we can have a quilt in the future that will sing us to sleep? Or, material that will tell us which way to cut the blocks......my goodness....I hope I live long enough to see how they'll use this! Donna

I don't want talking fabric - just imagine how emotionally hard it would be to cut it! And just imagine the conversations the stash could have - it would change nature of the sewing room forever....

Lizzy - you made my day! Thanks for the giggle! I can just imagine my stash chatting behind my back - yelling to one another 'she likes YOU best!' ME-Judy

Lizzy I read your reply early this morning. It must have been on my mind when I just ran to the local fabric shop. They are having a tag sale on a lot of fabric today, and I needed backers for two baby quilts. You would have rolled on the floor laughing when the clerk cut the rubber ducky flannel, and scissored right through some of the duckies. In my best little ducky voice "Oh, no! You just cut off my tush! Now I'll never learn to paddle!" - she stopped and just stared at me ;) I reminded her to look at what she was cutting.

Oh Sandy, did you have to put that link? That fabric is so out of my price range that I can barely afford to drool over it, but it is so exactly what I'm craving right now.

As The Fixx said, "One thing leads to another!"

Lainie's page led me to the knitters.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, there has been quilting taking place, only the place keeps changing, as I put together my studio. The bug man comes tomorrow so I'm doing the quarterly Major Dust-Up. I overloaded the sweeper so I had to stop to clean the air filter and then noticed lunch time had passed hours ago, and well, ...

Roberta, do you really need that many clothes? How 'bout a back pack to carry the extras home?

R/Sandy- not affiliated w/KQ - just appreciating a good deal

I'll hardly have any clothes at all! Already pre-shopped, there's a

30-yard bolt of batting waiting for me at DD's. Plus some fabric. I'm not supposed to be carrying really heavy stuff around... sigh.
