Someone mentioned (a) white sport coat.

Jimmy Buffet also has a song called, "A white sport coat and a pink crustacean" :-)

"Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue?" sung by Crystal Gayle, no idea who wrote it. That brings to mind a blue and tan quilt.

Not sure of the attribution of some of the trad ones, they may be by the Carter Family or other folk singers so established you can be thus fooled. I may have mangled a couple of titles, but anyone who knows the song would know what they are.

With all of these great ideas, no one has come up with one of my favorites by The Irish Rovers..... "Black Velvet Band"..

i can visualize.... when the deep purple falls over sleepy garden walls and the stars begin to twinkle in the night. in the mist of a memory, you wander on back to me, breath'n my name with a sigh.

i'm sure whatever you come up with will be superb. so any songs and only one quilt, oh dear. have fun and do let us know what you decide. cheers, jeanne

LOL

all it took was a Google search for "song titles with color" maz of 30 seconds ofr a full screen to load

Larisa, who was nearly comatose or else drooling in the corner after the craziness of yesterday..this was a focused activity that I could use to regroup my run away brain cells

That would be similar to the "Beatles" quilt that Sue Nichols and Pat Holly made several years ago. Each block was one of the songs the Beatles recorded.

I really like the idea of each blocks being a different "color" song. Do it!!! :-)
