The Directory is coming! Well, soon......

Just to let you know that we have not forgotten about the Directory update, but it will be delayed a bit this go round. Many have indicated that they will be away for summer travels and we don't want to leave anyone out. So, it will be more toward September this time and I will be taking the lead this time. LN has indicated that her schedule right now does not have the available time needed to dedicate to the Directory, and I know how time consuming this project can be.

So, get your info ready. If you are already in the Directory, it will be simply a verification and/or update of your information. If you are not currently in the Directory, you will be checked out to make sure you should be in the next edition. The Directory contains personal information and we don't want it to be distributed to anyone that would misuse that information. So, since this will be my first time to vet the newbies to the Directory, be prepared to be scrutinized.

Stay tuned for the Directory update announcement, but we're looking at end of summer for this one.

Ack! *Please* tell me it will be before I go to China to see my DT! I'm going in mid-September (leaving Dexter and DH to guard the stash, though!) and don't want to miss the directory. :S

Sandy, I'm thinking we should have the form open by mid-August through mid-September or so. You should be ok, not so sure about your stash though.........

hiya Sue, iirc, one of the criteria for inclusion in the directory is participation in the group. else how does anyone know you? i gotta say you dont ring a bell here but i do have a mind like a sieve. just too much in my head to keep track of folks who've not been round for a year. you would recall if you were in the present directory as you have to enter your own info on the form. goodness me, i cant remember to email my own kids with updates on some issues. well never sure just what they want to hear about anyhow. theres a couple hundred go in the directory, all that emailing to remind folks, nope thats a big ask of anyone, i reckon. stick around, join in and you too will see the upcoming posts about the latest directory and when/where to post your own info to get on it. what quilting have you been up to over the past year since you've last posted? got any pix we can go drool over? lol. hope that wasnt too harsh, wasnt meant to be but i'm getting antzy waiting for someone to arrive for some coffee, chat and maybe we'll even do some quilting. i did offer to show her how i do hand applique....fwiw, lol. cheers from today, a wee bit chilly, slightly overcast, non- breezey day in the south pacific. :) jeanne

I don't know about Alice, but I know when people asked me to email them personally when the new directory was about to be done up, I would tell them I just couldn't keep track of everyone and send out all those emails. Part of making sure that only people who are active on the ng (as opposed to people who only USED TO read the ng) are in the directory is to only post it on the ng when it's time to update.

Michele, the form for the pending revision has not yet been opened. The last upgrade was done at the end of last year.
