Hi all
Deb, the teacher that I made the quilt about Shakespeare and flowers for her retirement, needed some more of the notes sewed on the back so we met up to take care of that. So, I asked her if I could enter it in the State Fair this year. She called me at school during lunch today, after all, she is retired now, and she and Terry went to the fair yesterday and saw that I got a Third Place ribbon. I'm very happy with that. I felt that the front was just fine but I'll be the first to admit there were a few issues on the back with my machine quilting because of all the knots from all the stops and starts on certain sections. It will be interesting to see the judges comments when I can pick it up next Tuesday. Bert and I are going to the fair after school tomorrow so I will be sure to take some pictures and also get the web page posted again.
So, I am seven for seven in ribbons for entries over the years. I can't complain about that. Just had to brag a bit. More when I have pictures and stuff.
