Visit finished

As many of you may know, my DT and her DH were visiting with us recently. We don't see each other in real life all that often, since they live in Paris -- quite a distance, you'll admit. ;) We were lucky to be able to get together last summer in France and then again this summer here, but that doesn't usually happen.

At any rate, they arrived two weeks ago this Sunday and left two days ago. In between, we did a lot of sightseeing together, both here in the LV area (the Strip, the Dam and bridge), as well as a four-day trip to southern Utah to visit Zion, Escalante and Bryce. Our first stop on that little trip was in St. George, where we hit the Superior Thread place. I bought three spools of thread and some needles, and my DT bought the rest of the store. ;) It's hard to get good-quality thread in France at a reasonable price, so this was a good opportunity. On the way home from seeing the gorgeous scenery in Utah, we stopped in Cedar City, where they were having their famous Shakespeare Festival. We didn't see a Shakespeare production, but we did see a hysterically funny play called Noises Off! -- truly worth seeing. :)

Here in town there was more shopping to do, of course, though not all of it was quilty. Unfortunately, during this time it became apparent that my QI, Bisou, had more seriously injured her back (again) than we'd originally thought. She's now on prednisone and orders to rest, meaning that she can't go when/where she likes and must even be on a leash to outside to do what's necessary. :( If things don't improve, she may need surgery, which we're hoping to avoid, of course. :S
