What I did on National Quilting Day

I let DH brave the world of Seattle alone -- was getting signals from the body that just shouldn't be ignored. Let's just say it was a good decision on my part. Terri - next time. Or pick me up on your way East to see Mary!

But I was able to do some hand work. Yes, I'm relearning embroidery and in the process picking up a bit of beading. Wow am I slow! Tomorrow I'll post a pic or two. If you haven't seen the book Dream Landscapes, check it out

really had a good time doing this. I took a class and had a ball. It's easy and pretty and as you can see, it's really good forshowcasing small pieces of bright and gorgeous silk (Thank you allover again Tia mary). Anyway, I celebrated National Quilting Day by putting on a bead or two and reading a little bit in this book

just arrived on Friday. She uses the same design process asRosalie Dace taught us last summer. This is a good reinforcement ofgood design principles and it's easy to read. I'm going to do some ofthe exercises as soon as I feel better enough to do more than post toRCTQ.

That said, time to turn off this device for the night.
