Any news on Jessie?

I've been a little busy with work and home lately. I try to get on and catch up with the posts. I don't think I've seen anything, but has any heard on Jessie and how's she's doing.

Jessie's mom called me with an update late Monday. However since Matt had already posted that day I didn't see that I could add much to his report. Jessie does respond to direct questions by blinking. She is still very tired, so there are days where she is more responsive than others. Also for now, there is little or no movement on her part other than blinking.

When we spoke, her mom was expecting that Jessie would be moved out of ICU to a regular room and then shortly after into a nursing facility in Kentucky (thats where her parents live) shortly. She gave me their address in Kentucky, so if you want to send any more cards, please email me and I'll give you that address.

She also told me how thankful they are to have felt your kind support. It has been an eye opener for her to see and understand why Jessie was so attached to her RCS freinds. Patti hopes that you will continue to pray for Jessie. The road ahead for Jessie is still uncertain, but there is hope! As short a time as last week, the doctors held little hope that Jessie would ever open her eyes!

Well, it looks like things are improving some. That's some good news. I will continue to pray and think of her. Thanks for letting me know. Hopefully she will continue to improve and show better signs of communicating.

Thanks MC for posting that info. Sometimes I forget to thank all of you for the love and support that you have shown for Jessie.

I'll continue to post the week-end visit updates to the normal thread.

Thank you for the update M-C. Moving out of ICU is a good thing. I hope she keeps improving and start responding independently. I'll continue to keep her and all those close to her in my thoughts.
