Hello Everyone! The following is a Jessie update from Matt. For the newbies, Jessie is a member of RCS who a8 months ago was in a terrible car accident. She was in a coma for a long time and her mom was even told that she was brain dead. As you can see below the doctors were wrong, but the road back has been long and painful for Jessie. For those of you on the snail mail list, I did include Jessie's snail mail address. Unfortunately, I cant seem to find her email so if one of you has it, please would you send it to me?
Thought I'd write a note to you and share info about Jessie. She now has a motorized wheel chair, so she is a little more mobile I guess. The trachea tube has been removed so she is able eat almost normal food. She had dropped down to 98lbs, and is now up to 134lbs and states that she plans to stay at that weight.
From what I heard her say; she has written 4 books and is working on another one, none have been published, yet. She always wanted to write a children's book of a story she made up for our kids. She has been using the computer to write them, one key at a time. She has also emailed Oprah, I guess about the books.
She does have the email address that her brother shared, so she may respond to email from people in the group.
From the sounds of it, Makenzie is doing well in school.
