ATC Swap....

I was thinking, and rereading postings, there was some interest in sharing our home towns in a swap. I'd think it would be fun if we did an ATC swap that was just about our home town and or a place in our hometown that we love and why.

I'll have to join after we get back from NC as Tim (my BIL) doesn't believe in the internet even though he has a website for his business

I joined a swap like this on my atc trading forum but had to drop out because I couldn't get my thoughts and creativity synced up, and that was just to make three cards. This theme is a real challenge and we'll be making 9-10-11 or so. Frankly, I love the theme but I know I won't be able to create the cards I'd like. I gathered some tourist brochures to use on my last cards, that never got made. Anyone that's not able to do this would have to check websites for clip art or even just make digital cards. I know there are some here, myself included, that are just not that adept w/ the computer. I'm not trying to be a downer I just want everyone to know what it entails, at least from my standpoint.

You're the one with the most ATC experience. I appreciate your point of view. I had actually started thinking what would be unique to my town... should I do the suburb I'm in or the large city I'm closest too. Then even though it's the capital of California there are way more famous towns than this one.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I started gathering some stuff for the swap I didn't do from the town I'm in because last year was it's 150th birthday and there was lots of advertising. If I wanted to do my hometown I'm sure I couldn't find enough because I need flyers/ brochures to do the collage work. Both towns have wonderful historic significance and I'm proud to be from one and live in the other. -Now I remember! This whole subject came up awhile back because someone was talking about circle journals.- Sorry for the interruption, it just hit me. I'm sure you know how it is. ;-} Anyway, now I'm not sure what to do. I want to start a swap but don't know what. I still think it's a lot of fun making the collage houses though.
