Baby Card made from stash

Sep 17, 2005 15 Replies

Between Tammy and Marilyn I'm getting a lot of encouragement to dip into my stash. I needed a baby card pronto and decided to whip something up. It's in the "Other Crafts" album page 3.

I've also started a bunch of fall cards working with my stash. One of which I sent to Kenda and didn't scan it. I'm hoping she might scan it for me. I bought this stuff last year and never got around to using it and Stampin' Up had a thing called Make 10 cards with one sheet of paper. I know M-C likes to make a bunch of cards using up every scrap and I like the idea. The Make

10 encourages cutting the paper up so you can make 10 cards from one sheet of decorated paper.

Way to go Lynne! I love the card. The inside is just precious. Are those stickers on the outside? Too cute.

I"ll scan it for you Lynne, not a problem! Just as soon as I get it!

Adorable card Lynne! I think the card looks wonderful....whoever gets this baby card will love it!

Yes, I'm a bit of a GOBUSTER. I love stickers, buy them and rarely use them. So, brought them out for this cute card.

Oh that's too cute Lynne! The receiver will love it! :)

Love the baby card Lynne.....Those stickers are just too cute :o) Great job!!

Take care, Marilyn

Cute baby card Lynne. The Suzy's Zoo stickers are too cute.

I also like your fall card. I used that same paper to make some cards for my hubby to send to his clients. Although I only got 9 cards out of a sheet of paper. I guess I need to try harder!!

Hi Cathy,

I can send you the "very bad" picture of the way the paper should be cut to get full usage. You can get a good idea of how to cut the paper from the picture. I was at stamp camp and forgot my camera, but had my PDA with me that has a crude camera.

Love the baby card. Is there a website I can get a copy of the poem? Hope you don't mind me scraplifting your idea...... Sandy

Help yourself. I don't remember where I got it. I've used it for several years now. Nothing brings a baby shower to tears of joy faster than reading one of my cards. Bwah hahaha Lynne

Firstborn

It's just a baby, nothing we haven't seen before. Only chubby pink toes fat flat feet and round dimpled knees.

There is no reason for my heart to quicken at the sound of her sigh. After all, it is just a baby.

It's only a little round tummy and soft white skin, eager plump palms seeking and grasping comfort at my breast.

Why then are there tears in my eyes as I gaze in awe at this thing I have created?

It's only wispy damp curls soft against my cheek, a pouty little mouth and butterfly lashes half closed in contentment as I cuddle her close.

It is just a baby. But then again, could my heart be captured so by something commonplace?

She isn't just a baby. She is a miracle. Vicki D. Hodgson 1976

Thanks! I'm still working on the pregnancy album, but starting to gather supplies for the next one. Sandy

Thanks. I'd like to see it. Send it to steverusk at earthlink dot net. I did have three little pieces left over that I could use to make the 10th card! I'll have to do that.
