So I have found a new home for one of the baby guinea pigs we rescued yesterday. Here is the link to the picture of her new Mommy and Daddy.

If you recognize the new Mommy you are absolutely right, it is our beloved Deb!!! Deb, DH, and DD, DS just left here with guinea pig #1 in a moon pie box. They came over and looked at them, and I'm sure Deb fell in love the moment she picked her up! LOL I know that she will have a wonderful home with Deb's family. Deb's kids were so gentle with her and petted all the guinea pigs so nice. BTW Deb has great children, they are sooo well behaved, they even gave me a hug when they left. 'Course it couldn't be that I let them have a baby could it! LOL

Deb enjoy the new baby!! Anyone else want a baby??? LOL

Good thing you haven't named them yet Kenda! They look like very proud parents :))) So Deb - what's her name?

Very true Judy!! Though my youngest DS was tired of us calling them guinea pig #1, #2 ect. so he named everyone! LOL the runts name stuck.

I sure wish I was local! I used to have a guinea pig named max and miss him so much! He would dive down my shirt after treats I hid while watching TV and always called to me when I got home... he was all black except a white spot on his head and for halloween we would paint a white stripe on him (so he was a skunk for halloween)... he was so spoiled! LOL

I believe I will have to do a GP LO! I was actually thinking of making a small GP scrapbook as I have a feeling these won't be the last of the rescues that we do!

It took most of the weekend, but we have a name. Finally! LOL Between both kids, we had suggestions like Mary, Lizzy, Swany, and Piggy. But we finally settled on Sarafina. I don't know...it just fits somehow. I do believe I've been adopted as Sarafina's momma, though. (Not a problem, either!) Thank you so much Kenda for our new family member!

I'm so glad she has taken to you as her Momma!! She sure seemed like the right one for your family!! You're very welcome!!! The boys have asked how she's doing, they are nervous about finding a home. Alan assured them that I wouldn't let one out of the house unless I knew she was going to a good home!

And she went on a car trip today! We went to DH's office to pick something up, then went to the school to drop off the fundraising envelopes that I forgot this morning. The office even let me take her back to DS's preK room! The teacher very gladly let me & DS show her off. I forgot the camera though. :-(

I'll bet DS's teacher will let you bring her back! The kids will enjoy seeing how she grows through the school year! I finally decided to take charge and pick out names for the boys. The black headed boy UB2 is Pinkey & UB1 is The Brain.....heeheee That will of course have to change if we find a home for one of them but it works for now!

Did your baby enjoy the road trip? How did she do with it?

heeheeheehee Pinkey and The Brain! LOL

DS teacher said that one year they had a GP in the class and it died the day after all the kids left the school. She said it was like it was just waiting for the kids to leave for the summer. How sad!

At first, she wasn't too sure of the road trip. But as long as I kept my hand close to her, she was ok.
