Does anyone know of an online store where I can buy bulk votive candles with the smooth sides. We're going to be stamping on the sides of the candles with tissue paper? My daughter wants to use them for table decorations in wine glasses at her reception. Sandy

Hi Sandy
Here are a couple of sites for you to browse around in (the first one you'll have to either have a vendor's license or order through me):

You can also do a broad range search on eBay using the following keywords (type exactly as shown here:) (there are three separate searches indicated here) "lot of" votive candles "lot of" Tea Light "lot of" candles
Hope this helps.

Kate, thanks for the suggestions. Found and ordered exactly what we wanted from ebay. Never thought to look for candles there. Sandy

I've stamped directly onto candles (no tissue paper) that I bought at the "dollar tree" store. They have FLAT candles there. They are literally square. They have votive size 2/$1 and taller ones are $1 each. They have several colors. I bought some ivory ones and stamped with blank ink. Looks great.

Hi Sandy,
I'm glad I was some help. I hope you will photograph one of them when they are done so I can see it.
Love, Kate
You just stamp directly on the side of the candle? I've always stamped on tissue paper and then heated the tissue paper slightly onto the candle. It melts into the side and the remaining tissue paper peels away. Your way sounds so much easier. Do you use regular ink pads? I have the classic pads from stampin up. Sandy
