I just got in from the convention!!! It was soooo much fun. I took three classes. I took Embellishment Elements sponsored by Little Black Dress Designs, Simple Ideas for Better Design was taught by Dona Downey from Simple Scrapbooks magazine and Simplify Your Scrapbooking with Sketches was taught by Faye Morrow Bell from Creating Keepsakes. I learned loads from the classes and spent way too much money. Understand that if I spend $20 I think it's too much money. lol I was surprised the class prices were so reasonable. They were only $13. You had to bring your own tools and glue but they provided all the paper and embellishments you needed for the project. They had great door prizes but alas....I didn't win a thing. :(

I'm soooo jealous!!! Sure wish there were some conventions around here... :( Glad you enjoyed yourself! What techniques did you learn? Inquiring minds wanna know LOL
One of the best things I learned was from Faye's class. She showed us how to use others sketches but she also show us how to make sketches from other scrapbook pages. The she said use other things to make sketches like magazine ads and layouts. She said you can even make sketches from the big billboard ads you see on the highway...that they give you great clean, simple lines.

Oh I am so jealous! I am so glad it was great :) Feel free to share any ideas with us!!! I will go someday when I don't have a little one to leave :)
Glad you had such a good time. Sounds like you took some great classes. I love Faye's work. It is simple but beautiful. I wish I could attend one of her classes.
