Cricut vs Wishblade

Thank you for everyone's input. A Digital Cutting system is definitely on my wishllist for X'mas! I do think that it is an expensive purchase worth making, because it will save a lot of money on the long run.

Marilyn, I think I'm with you as far as the cartridges go - I would love to have my cutter portable, but I like the idea of downloading what you want more than having to buy each time you want a different font. I would like to get in contact with you again after I get the Silhouette for those websites you were referring to, if that's okay.

Did you buy your cutter online or at a local shop? QK do have a reference on their website to a shop in SA, but I could not find a lot of info on that site.

Thanks again everyone! :)

Judy...I bought my Silhouette from QVC UK when they had it as a TSV in May this year. I think I saved about £50 on the normal price but it also came with added value....by way of a Prepaid Download Card for another $100 worth of shapes. This value was doubled when you went to the QK site to download. As a result I have around 120 designs in my Library...about 65 of which were purchased using the extra card supplied. The other five were freebies from QK for supplying them with info on how I resolved a Microsoft.NET framework problem that caused problems with the Silhouette software. Most of the downloadable shapes are either 3 or 4 dollars.

Feel free to c> Thank you for everyone's input. A Digital Cutting system is definitely on

Have you looked into the Klic-n-Kut. I have one. Haven't used it much. Been busy since its summer.
