When my mother was a little girl she had 3 girl cousins with reddish, sandy colored hair. One time their Granny bought a bolt of pink fabric so all her grandaughters could have coordinating dresses. My mother got a lot of new pink dresses because her aunt would not put pink on her red haired daughters.
