Finding a bargain!!!

I just have to share. I went to Wal-Mart this morning to get a few things and I went past the Halloween clearance table. I found a package of 12x12 Halloween paper for $1.00. I has 80 sheets of paper in the package. Needless to say I bought the package. They only had one package left. :( If there was more I would have bought a couple of more packages. My question to the group is: What has been the best bargain you have found for scrapbooking?

Definately would have to be all the goodies I found at the LSS in Indiana. I can't remember the name of it, but it was during the RCS Meet at the Barn up there. Sandy, MC, Katrina & I went to this LSS who was having a huge clearance. Found way too many goodies!

Being fairly new to scrapping (since March), I was always picking up little things. I went on vacation to visit my family in May, and came across a store with sb supplies. Well.....I went to the back of the store and there was a whole wall with clearance items..all marked $1 and $2!!! There were brads, eyelets, ribbons, stickers, scissors, markers, small embellishment packages. I even called a friend in the town I lived to see if she wanted anything. Needless to say...I filled my cart!

OOOH!!! I remember that sale. The LSS was going out of business. I got a huge jar of UTEE for around $2. and a Provo album which buckled shut on the side for $5. And lots of cub scout paper, stickers and embellishments real cheap. That was a good sale. I do think the best one I found was the LSS that went out of business last Christmas. She had a garage sale at her house a few months later and sold every piece of paper (cardstock, vellum, handmade, double dipped, paper, transparencies) for ten cents a sheet. Ink pads for fifty cents, and embossing powder for seventy-five cents a jar. Sandy

The best deals I ever got were on the cutter bee bugs when Walmart put them on clearance for 0.25 each and the provocraft decorative scissors when Michaels put them on clearance for 0.25 each. I have never used the scissors but the kids like cutting with them.

I got my Xyron 505/510 at Big Lots for $10.00, not realizing what a great deal that was--when I found out, I went back but somebody there had also realized it, and marked them up to $20--I got a few more anyway for some friends, since that was still a good price!

I love the clearance areas at Michael's and Hobby Lobby (Joann's never has much scrap related stuff)--once at Michael's they had a bunch of the designer 8x11.5 and 12x12 sheets on sale for .10 cents each (there was vellum and other high end textured pages in there as well) so I grabbed a ton of them, only to get to the register and they rang up

1 cent each!! Yes, a penny a page!!! Best deal I ever got, for a paper floozy. ;-)

I have literally cleaned out clearance area of lss' i have visited in different places. I got this one pile of paper and there was at least

100 sheets, some of it actually ugly. I asked the owner how much was it and she said since I got so much other stuff, oh a dollar. I have also gleaned great buys at Michaels and Hobby Lobby clearance areas too. My lucky SS is gonna get some of that!!

I just love shopping PERIOD and am a shopper. Ollie's in Maryland is a really bad place for me!! Just ask Theresa.
