Holiday Album

Last night, I (very quickly) put together a holiday for Tim to take back to school today. I thought it would be a good idea to help him remember some of the things he did while he was on holidays (he has quite severe short term memory loss). I think it turned out ok considering it was a rushed job. I didn't tizzy it up too much, and I had to keep the journelling very simple as I wanted him to be able to read it (with some help). Take a look, it's in my 2006 album.

Today I went to Em's place for a crop, and got 2 pages done for my Book Of Me, (I still need to journal on them), I have yet to upload them onto the computer, but will hopefully get that done too. So, my goal of 1 LO per week is already exceeded, so far I've done 15 LO's this year... not bad for me!

You did a great job on this album for T Cec I am sure that he will treasure it and want you to scrap every holiday, birthday, school trip.............. LOL I see a lot of scrapping fun in your future!!!!! It is so nice that you have a medium that will act as a memory aid for him...it is a very positive approach you are taking for this little boy :o)

Thank you Marilyn, I like to think that we are doing something right with him... LOL. He really enjoyed his first day back at school today too (although he forgot to bring his album home!! aarrgh) I hope he remembers it tomorrow so he can show Grandma on Saturday. I won't mind scrapping all his holidays etc (I shall look forward to it)... it's a great way to prompt his memory on what is happening in his little world :o)

Wouldn't you know it....I remember these things well...only with mine it was the new shoes left by the lake....LOL It was wonderful looking at T's album with Christmas, followed by a swim in the lake with deckchairs and watermelon accents :o) Wonderful memories flood back when you see things like that! Cec, You've got a good start for your nephew. Something he will treasure for years to come. The simplicity of the journaling was a great idea. It was one of those "Why didn't I ever think about that?" ideas. Thanks!!! I'm glad to see you are sounding more positive. You are still in my thoughts and prayers. Hope everything works out for the best. The 'one LO a week goal' is so helpful isn't it? This way if you get into a slump mid-year it helps to be ahead of the game. Sandy
