I need accountability!!

Nope, not with my spending. ;-)

My hobby room is an absolute disaster area, and my goal is to get it totally organized before the end of the week...BUT.

I am the world's biggest procrastinator, and I have so many ongoing projects around the house that it's easy to put off going in there and straightening things up.

I admit it--I need someone bugging me to "CLEAN UP YOUR ROOM!!!" Anyone here want to take on that responsibility? ;-)

Humm, I've been trying to get my Scraproom/Office organized for a few weeks. I am making headway, but not done yet. I guess if I stopped buying stuff I'd be closer to having this room together. I have found a few things that worked well for me. For my stickers I took 3 ring note books filled them with three different kinds of plastic sheet protectors. I used the full sheets, 4x6 picture protectors and the baseball card protectors. With the full sheet protectors I used card stock paper to keep it from being so flimsy. I marked each of the 3 ring note books with a theme, ex: Birthday, Baby, Wedding ect. I then sorted out the stickers and put them in their own book. For die cuts I used photo albums, but I'll be changing those over to the 3 ring notebooks. I'll do the die cuts the same way as I did the stickers and give them each their own theme. I use the plastic boxes with the dividers for my buttons and other things about that size. I picked up some pill boxes at the dollar store. They are weekly pill boxes and they have 4 sections per day, giving me a total of 28 little compartments for my tiny stuff. I put stuff like rhinestones, Jolee's little flowers, tiny charms ect. in these boxes. I have to go get some more, these really worked great. I got them at Dollar tree, in the medicine section. I use one of those plastic organizers that has little draws for nuts & screws. At least that's what my husband had in it (He doesn't even know it's gone). I have seen them in the tool section at Home Depot. I keep my scrapbooking tools in a small plastic tool box and my adhesives in another tool box. I keep my paper in the accordion style boxes. I also have a 9 draw dresser that I have other stuff in like lace, fibers, ribbon ect. I'm not sure what to do with this stuff and it sure doesn't stay organized in those draws. If anyone has any other ideas I'd sure love to hear them.

I am in also. I have been trying to clean up since we got back from the honeymoon in May. I made bunches of leadway since then ... I can actually walk in the room but still have a long way to go.

Good one Dave! Your comment actually made me laugh out loud in my hotel room. For those of you who have to travel, Google isn't THAT bad!

I had to do a major cleaning before Dave, Jacqui, Kenda and Deb came over to the "Scraproom". That is one of the good things about having people over, it always makes me clean things up.

Well time for a nap, I spent 5 hours walking around San Antonio this morning and early afternoon! Tomorrow, Jacqui is taking me to see the "other" Missions and I'm changing hotels as the Drury where I am staying was completely booked when I decided to stay on an extra night. If you ever come to San Antonio, do consider staying here! IT is absolutely beautiful, well place, quieter than many of the other hotels as it has nice think walls and they have a free buffet (scambled eggs, french toast, bagels, waffles etc plus 60 minutes free long distance every night. It's a great place to stay and is right on the Riverwalk.

OOOOOoooooooooooo I love the riverwalk... I wanted to go in one of the boats but when i was there there wasn't enuf time. We went to Seaworld there(my second time) and it rained and most of the people went home. THe lines for rides were shorter and we got on faster. Loved it

While you're there you should check out a restaurant called Mi Tierra-- wonderful Mexican food (at least several years ago it was! :-) and while we were eating some singers came over to our table and serenaded us in Spanish while a man played the guitar--lovely. :-)

I have no choice but to keep mine organized, as it shares the master bedroom and home office. We wouldn't be able to move if I left any part disorganized. I need to motivate to work on pages though.

I just started collecting 'fibers' though I have 2 large storage containers of rolled up yarn gathered over the years--how did you make the winding sticks?

*If* I could ~find~ my stuff, I'd be throwing it your way, LOL! ;-)

Obviously since you have so much free time on your hands now ;-) you can jump in your car and head south and come clean up *my* mess too, hm?
