I was just wondering

Has anyone used the Xyron 1.2 inch Create a sticker yet? I was just wondering because I just bought one and have not had the oportunity to use it yet. I was hoping some of you have tried it and can tell me how you liked it. Thanks, Ang.

that's the one that looks like an x right? i have it and love it. it works good but just don't put anything too close to the sides when loading. sometimes it tends to come off the sticker on the other end.

I use mine quite a bit, especially for letters/numbers. I know that some people will xyron the cardstock before die cutting the letters, but for me that never seems to work. So I prefer cutting my letters out on my Boss Kut and then putting them in the xyron-150. It was a great help when I was preparing 15 sets of 2006 stickers for my workshop.

We just used it in a Holiday card class at Archivers to adhere ribbon. Just run the ribbon through and woo-la, sticky! It worked very, very well. Kathy

If it is the X box xyron, then yes I love it! It is perfect for all those little embelishments or die cut letters.

I LOVE mine. It's my favorite scrapbook tool. I couldn't do without it.

I mostly use mine to put sticky stuff on the backs of my lettering - it works really well for that and since I always use the repositionable cartridges, my placement isn't set in stone - if the word ends up too far to the right I can just pick the letters up and put them where they fit better! I've used it to do strips and borders as well but it doesn't work nearly so well for that because it's almost impossible to get them to go in straight, and a miniscule angle means that the paper comes out the other end ruined or breaks off in the middle or won't go through at all! I wrecked a new cartridge trying to get a crooked strip out of it...

If you're talking about the X shaped one, I love it! I use it mostly for letters or numbers. But it's great for all kinds of little, flat, embellishments. Definately worth it.

All:

It sounds like a made a good choice. Yes, it is the X shaped one. I think I am going to like it. The refills don't seem to be too expensive either, about $5.00. I am cutting my letters for my ABC book, but I think I am going about it kind of the wrong way. What I have done is in Word typed the ABC's in Upper and Lower case and am cutting them out with an X-acto and scissors. now mind you I have several colors of card stock, 6 I think, and each set is 3 pages so that's something like 18 pages of letters with the x-acto and scissors... quite frankly, my hands are starting to hurt from the pressure of the knife, would there be a better way to do this??? Thanks.

I do ABC books and I do the same as you print out letters in Word... BUT I only use the upper case letter. That might help you only having to cut out

50% of the letters.
