Marie, about the crop

I've left a message, emailed and called back when you asked. I have a rule that I only try three times to get ahold of someone. I needed to know sooner than 24 hours if you were staying here. At this point I'd say if you contact me (leave me a message) or email me by the time I get back from my stuff tonight (about 11 or 12) then all is fine but after that, well I don't feel comfortable letting someone I don't know stay at my house when its so last minute. I feel hurt by this and I guess I should learn not to reach out so much at times. If you are still going to the crop, I'll see you there.

Well the other night I have no real excuse except that I fell asleep with the boys and then I forgot I was supposed to call you back. Yesterday was a horrible day for me. I haven't been online or sat down I think in like 2 days. Tuesday the power in Lorain went out for 5 1/2 hours. It was 95 outside, and absolutely miserable. I took the kids for a ride to keep them cool in the air in the car, and well I must have ran something over or something cause the Wednesday morning I had a completely flat tire. So I began to change the tire, and a bunch of storms started moving in and it was lighting and thundering like crazy, so I said okay hmm maybe I should do this later. So I went in and waited for the storms to pass that took forever. Then I finally get back out there and finish the tire. I get the spare on and get in the car to take the tire to the local tire place to get it fixed, they guy said the whole is to big to patch I need a new tire. I said fine give me a new tire. He puts it on, and does his thing. Before I left I noticed my Check engine light was on, so I asked him what was that about. And he said well Auto Zone does check engine checks for free. So I head over there since I better get that taken care of before I go out of town. He does that test says my Oxygen Censors are bad. I don't know what that means and I figure he just wants me to spend my money there. So I take it to a friends house and he looks at it and well yeah the main censor thingy is bad. lol I don't know what they are called. But its like 135 for the new part and he cant put it in for me until Saturday morning. SOOOooo I am screwed. I have issues with the stupid van and don't entirely feel safe driving with the Check Engine light on. I feel totally horrible and I really really wanted to come! Please forgive me! Please if you get home before 1230 call me. I would feel better talking to you about all of this rather than you just reading this and thinking its bull or something.

About the oxygen sensrs in your car. First of all with vehicles now adys whenever that check engine light comes on, 9 of 10 times it is that sensor that is bad.

They wear out form deteiration from corrosion heat and OFTEN, a bad exhaust system.

IT WILL NOT HURT to drive teh car for awhile with it on, but can affect the gas mileage. It may also cause it to idle rough as it is telling the computer it needs more air. Anyhow you will not hurt it to drive it on a short trip or even say a month before you can afford to replace it.

So sorry to hear about all the troubles r trials but you know what t say, bad tings happen in three's!1 I also look at it as a hint from above that I am not or was not supposed to do someting!!

Marie, I agree with Dave, some things we want to do may not be the best things at the time. When too many barriers are put in my way,I just try to accept it and go on. I am sorry that you and Jean cannot get together. I know how you all were looking forward to it. Jean dear,I hope you have a wonderful time at your crop and am sorry that it didn't work out for Marie this time. Cars can be such a pain just when we need them most ! Big Hug to you both!!

Poor you Marie and you too Jean! I know you were all so looking forward to meeting up! When you do meet down the road it will be all the sweeter for having had to wait longer. It is funny how life interferes sometimes and we can't get to things right away or do the things we so want to do. But usually, at least in my experience, it all works out for the best in the end!

So do hang in there both of you and continue to build on the friendship that is emerging. That way, when you do meet, it will be as true friends!

Hi Marie,

Sorry to hear that everything is happening at once. I'm not sure why life if like that. Things here go along smoothly and then 3 or 4 things will break within days of each other. It's so strange. Hope you get it all sorted out soon and back on track.

Oh that's a bummer Marie! I'm sure things will look up soon. Just take things one day at a time, and take a breath in between. :-)
