MC_the_2nd sneaks out of the shadows

Welcome MC#2! So glad you decided to delurk. Scotland!?! Wow, I think it's great that you UK gals have decided to join in w/ us in this little corner of the web. We sure have become worldly. Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, Canada, Scotland and, of course, USA. Hope I didn't miss anyone. Can't wait to see some of your work. Share your cards too when you can. We've evolved into quite a variety of paper crafters around here. Heck, we had to find something to do w/ all that extra scrapbook stuff! LOL

I was there in early to mid October. Left on the trip 3 weeks to the day after 9/11 & received many expressions of sympathy & condolences for what happened from your lovely countrymen.

Not only have I heard of Stirling, I've been there!

ET type characters...:o)

Hadn't heard of the UFO connection. Must keep that in mind for the next trip. Just found Antonine's Wall on my handy OS map from my trip. Alas, we didn't quite make it to your area, having taken a more direct route from Edinburgh to Stirling.

Will get some layouts up soon. Meanwhile, if you're interested, you can see some of the pics as well as read of our adventures at

For some reason, page 5 won't load. Will have to tell my cousin, since she put the site up. Once you get to page 4, you'll have to page back to the main page, then you can click on "Selected Pictures". Luckily, only the one page seems to be missing. Can't wait to go back. That trip was kind of "last minute" (we booked about 5 weeks ahead of the trip) as a friend I'd gone to elementary thru high school with had bought a guest house (B&B) up in Wick & we decided to build a trip around seeing her & her family. I need to gather all info I can find on my Scottish ancestors in preparation for the next trip, which would be to Glasgow & central Scotland.

Sure is lots & lots of scenery in Scotland to photograph & scrap!

All I can say is Wow!!!! I enjoyed your layouts, they look wonderful. And thanks for delurking. Welcome to group. YOur furbabies are absolutely adorable. I'd love to smooch every one of them. I imagine they take a lot of work keeping them looking so beautiful. What kind of carts are those you're using in your scraproom? And thanks again for sharing.

Hi Jessie,

Thanks for the welcome and positive comments on my LO, etc. Glad you like my furbaby pictures as they are big part of my life....11 altogether. They actually don't take as much time as people think.....little and often is the key.

I bought the 15 drawer rolling carts at Costco here in the UK, perhaps they are only available here. I found this link on Ebay UK but I only pair £19.99p at Costco:

but here is something similar in the US...doesn't have the deep drawers though but looks like the same manufacturer to me. You might be able to track them down :

Hi Marilyn! Welcome to the group. I have been away for three weeks and am trying to catch up! Whew! Lots of words here. LOL So glad to see you and look forward to seeing more of your work. I am Sabrina from Louisville, Kentucky and am a retired RN,mother of four adults and grandmother to eight PERFECT grandkids! LOL Been scrapping for going on five years now and am totally addicted. I like to make cards also. My favorite thing is paper piecing. Most of my spreads these days are of my grandkids. Lucky for me my DDs are scrappers, too and keep me supplied with lots of photos.

Thanks for the welcome Sabrina. Hope you enjoyed your three weeks away!

I have put some of my LO's on my webshots account so pple can see what I have done. Only made my first pages in the later part of December so I still have a lot to learn. My DD and 2 grandchildren are coming shortly so I am looking forward to hearing their opinion on the LO's, as some of them are for my DD album. I am trying to encourage her to scrap to, as I had her card-making and she liked that.
