Personally, I think Sizzix dies are too expensive for what they are. I have a small Sizzix and a large Sizzix machine and just do use them often. Too expensive.

Just my 2 cents

I agree that I haven't wanted to invest the money in Sizzix as I don't think I'd use them often enough to get my money's worth. BUT when I was at the barn and using their sizzlet letters I was very intrigued and thought I might actually get some use out of the alphabets.

They are also selling Sizzlet singles at some Target stores. They have a pretty good selection.

Yah, but look at the cost for a complete set. That is a lot of money. I am also wondering how long the plates last given the different papers, plastic, magnets, fabric, metal, etc. that one can cut with it.

And, then are they like rubber stamps where you can only get them for so long and they are discontinued. What do you do when/if that happens.

I thought they were discontinuing the Sizzix. Guess they changed their mind. I don't have any nor am I interested in having one just seems like awhile back that was all the talk. I also used the sizzlet at the barn for alphs and thought it was pretty cool though.

I have purchased the majority of my sizzix with coupons or online when they have 40-50% off. A few months ago Creative Express had the four packs of sizzlits for $7 and I bought all the ones I didn't have already. I try to stick to the ones I know I will use more than a few times like the geometric shapes, flowers and alphabets.

Well, if you had say a 40% off discount that would take a nice chunk out of an alphabet set. Hmmm...

I think we refer to Sizzix for all of the die-cut machines (manual ones) it is just easier and I think everyone knows what we are talking about.

You got to watch though, sometimes they put the alphabets on sale and then you can't use the 40% off coupon.
