One Scrapbook Item?

I saved a lot of my Memory Makers metal embellishments for a while because they are a little pricey. I wanted to make sure they were used on a "perfect layout". I am over that now and just want to use up my stash. I was just wondering if you all do the same thing. Is there one item/product you have that you are holding for a favorite layout but never seem to find the 'right' layout for? OR What is one scrapbook item you have purchased that you haven't used but want to?

I can't think of any particular item, but I do have some pics. I have some great pics from Gulf Shores, AL. I've bought all kinds of different beach stuff for them. I'm just afraid to scrap them because I want them to be perfect. Anyone else got pics like this?

Yes, some of the Midnight Sun in Norway. I'd say have them scanned, print them & scrap the prints. If you'd like to re-scrap them in the future you can print as many as you like.

ONE? You're kidding, right? I have TONS of stuff that I bought KNOWING it would be perfect for...??? When I'm packing for a crop, I will see it and not take it because I'm sure I'll have a better spot to use it later. What is wrong with me?

I had to laugh when I read the part you wrote that said "I wanted to make sure they were used

In answer to your question, all of it! LOL guess I should get on the use up my stash challenge huh?!?

Yep!! I bought some brads this summer (I just won't admit how many packages!) knowing they would be perfect for a layout, but I just haven't found the right layout for them...yet. LOL So obviously, that means I either haven't found the right pictures or haven't taken the right pictures. Or at least that's my theory....or...defense. LOL

Mine is metal letters. I love them, but they just sit in the drawer waiting for that special layout!

Mine too! I'm a real sucker for different alphabits. I have a drawer full of just that stuff! I went through my scrapping/stamping stuff the other day, reorganizing mostly, but I have to say I'm really embarassed about the amount of things I've gathered over the past year or so:>( So I'm grounding myself to not buying anything new until I've used some of this stuff I just "had to have". I think I could scrap every picture in this house & not buy another thing in the process(LOL) So other than adhesives, I'm in a "no buy zone"

Wish me luck!:>)

I have this one set of alphabet stones hanging above my scrappin table waiting for the perfect LO. I think they have been hanging there for two years. They are made by EK Success and they are called Inspirables - stone stickers - black with gold letters. I think as part of the Use Your Stash Challenge I am going to force myself to use them on a LO. I think my issue is because I just don't want to break up the set..............does that sound crazy? Sandy

Trish, I've done that too.....ground myself. Let me tell you how to get around yourself on this one ok? Use just one thing, anything.....piece of card stock, one imbellishment anything then you have used something from your stash and you are "legal" to go out and buy more! LOL (hanging head in shame, yes I've done just that and I'm darn proud too! LOL )

Well I went through and gave angelvoice a bunch of stuff, yardsaled a bunch of stuff, and I'm giving myself permission to buy more! HA! Honestly, I think I might have a buyer for the QK (crosses fingers) so I might be getting some "rcs wishblade requests" going eventually....

I am keeping three of the QK dies tho.. LOL.. I just decided... oh well... I'm going to scan them into the wishblade and figure out how to make them with that... then I'll sell them.. LOLOL

And *ahem* certain NSSSF who spoiled me with QK this last round... will be getting lots of free wishblade stuff! *G*

Oh I hope..... *G*

I have tons of stuff that I will probably never use on any layout! I buy it because I usually scrap late at night and none of the stores are open. I rarely take into consideration whether I will actually use something, if I think it is cute/pretty/funny/something different, etc I will just buy it and then file it. ;o)

KENDA....go stand in the corner!!!! What are you like GF? There I am reading Trish's post saying that is where I am at right now......No More Buying....trying hard to control these urges to surf and buy!!!!! I have been on QVC & ebay twice and nearly succumbed to temptation....LOL Then you post your thoughts on the matter.....***roaring with laughter!!**

I have been trying to organise this craftroom and finding all sorts of stuff I had forgotten about....and that is just on the scrappin' table....ROFLMHO I spent ages yesterday sorting out all the scraps and getting organised to do more cards and I have two more to scan and upload, although I am not participating in the points collecting :o) I have three orders in transit from QVC and then it is full stop on online purchases of craft stuff for a while......oh how I hope I can keep it up!!!

Take care, Marilyn

LOL Kenda! You are evil aren't you??(LOL) Last fall I made a 12x12 album for my nieces new baby. This album had a page for every month of the baby's first year, (fully embellished just waiting for a picture & her journaling) and would you believe it didn't cost me a thing!(technically I mean)(LOL)(not even adhesives BTW, I was stocked on those too!!)

So I think I'm really going to ground myself for real, but I will keep that in mind Kenda, just incase something great shows up at the store!:>)

I've had that thought more than once!(LOL)

This past summer I really got into beading! I now have a set of necklace, bracelet & earrings to go with every shirt I own! PLUS 5 tackle boxes with

36 spaces full of different glass beads, PLUS 1 large(24) & 1 small(12) cases of watch maker tins full of metals. I'm telling you, everyone on my list is getting a home made something for Christmas again this year!!(LOL)

I bought a scrapbook set off of QVC last year that came with a 12x12 and a 6x6 and tons of alphabets, embellishments, and paper.( I cant rmember if it was a Brenda Walton or Anna Griffin!) I have used some of the alphabets and embellishments, but I havent touched the albums! I just have to find the right thing to use them for! I also have some buttons and chunky embellishments that I got on clearance ((last year!!)and they are waiting patiently fo rme to find something to use them for! LOL I should ground myself,,but being grounded is NO fun! LOL

I had to LOL at Kendas' bending the rules...Hey i could learn something from you! hehee!! Linda C
