One Sheet Wonder is Postal

3 went out earlier this week, but 2 needed clear packing tape. I know I have a giant roll of it some where, but with the big house gutting and carpet cleaning/repairing it is some where I have no idea. So, I bought another roll and the final 2 went postal today. Looking forward to everyone seeing the great work every one did.

On a interesting note... I layed all the cards out on my bed hoping to put matching shapes in order as to give each person an assortment. Thinking we all followed a plan they should look similar. There were only 2 cards out of each batch that I could definitely identify as being the triangle pieces and the rest were hard to make out. hahaha Don't get me wrong all the cards are lovely and decorated wonderfully I just found it amusing that I couldn't identify the other 8 shapes. Maybe I needed to get a Kindergartener in to help me. LOL

Anyhow I think every one will be happy with their cards.

I got mine yesterday! Lynne, did you think to take a picture of them to post? I forgot to scan mine. Just thought everyone would like to see what we did.

Lynne, I used one of your cards this morning to send to DS#1 in his box I was sending to Basic training. I love that they aren't "cutesy". I really love that I had a card on hand that I didn't have to make. I try to make him a card at least once a week, lets him know I'm thinking of him. He knows whta care I put into making cards and that I only send them out to those that I know will appreciate them!

I was extremely pleased with my cards! Good swap! Thanks everyone for such creative additions. Loved the glittered sandals, would have never thought to do that.

Power just got turned back on here (just after 2 pm). It went out just before 4 am this morning, when some pretty bad storms passed through. No damage for us, but lots of downed trees just south of our house. I love electricity!!!

On the plus side, I did get to scrapbook this morning, since that does not take electricity to do. Almost finished my cat album-did 7 or 8 pages, just 3 pages left and I need more pictures.

Hot shower here I come. Kathy

I'm so pleased you got to use one of my cards already. As a matter of fact I've already sent one of yours. A sad time, but it felt so good having a wonderful card to send right off instead of me having to buy an uninspired card for such a sad time. I look forward to enjoying sending all the cards. I've vowed not to hoard them like I usually do, but let people know I'm thinking about them with these little works of art.

I did take pictures, but my husband took my camera home from the beach and downloaded the memory card to the computer. Some of my pictures are missing from the beach and the swap. First of all he wasn't supposed to take the camera. haha 2nd I can't believe he downloaded the pictures into weird files. I'm hoping everything is on the hard drive and I just can't find them.... yet.

Lynne,

Do you have google Picasa? It's a free program and it will pull pictures out of your computer like magic--I found picture files from the late 90s that I'd forgotten totally about! You might try that, then rename/move the files to wherever you normally keep them.

OHHH so cool Carolyn! I'll have to look for that program. I have pictures on here that I want to take off. Getting them all in one place would be SO nice.

Thanks for the tip.

I agree with you Lynne, it's nice to have nice cards to send out. I try to send out at least 2 cards a week to friends and family, not including DS#1 at basic training. It has given me a good feeling. I don't write much in the cards, mostly just "thinking of you so I thought I'd send a card to let you know.".

Kathy, I have found that it really brightens someones day. Especially the elderly or my single friends, friends that are married with childern/without children. It's always nice to know that someone is thinking of you and to get a handmade card is wonderful! M-C send one with my birthday/retirement gift and it made me feel really good.
