I wouldn't have known or thought about it if my friend the radio stations owners called and asked if I saw the smoke. It was on our side of the river coming our way. I looked outside and saw nothing but smoky fog look. My neighbor called and asked and then the electricity went out. I called the local police station and they knew nothing official. I did get word from my MIL 30 miles away that the fire started from the high wind knocking the wires down, they started a fire around the city dump area and it grew out of hand. I heard it got to the sale barn on highway 83. It was gusts of wind to
65 I think they said on the news. I even heard they had to evacuate some in the NE side temporarily... What*&^*&%*%&. I am in the NE side and no one of official copacity called me!.... It was 7 miles away. THen the wind started to die down as a storm cloud started to come over and sprinkle. I guess enough to get it out or get it under control. The 10 o'clock news said it was under control before dark. Thanks goodness.....cowchipper
