I will be gone until Monday. DH and I, and our union president, are headed to Colorado Springs today for the Fallen Firefight Memorial. As many of you remember last fall one of our Captains died after surgery due to a shoulder injury he recieved while fighting fire. Our local union belongs to an international union, the IAFF (they represent professional FF in every state in the U.S. and in Canada) and we have a Fallen Firefighter Memorial in Colorado Springs and every year they have a ceremony honoring the firefighters that have fallen in the line of duty during the last year. We are attending to honor Captain Bevans.
I will try to check in while there but not sure if I will be able to. We have a number of meetings a day starting Thursday and the ceremony will be Saturday afternoon. I hope to be able to get in some shopping but I think the best I will be able to hope for is Friday night. ("Honey, would you drive me around to the scrapbook stores? Yes dear. I know it's 9pm but they are having a crop so I know I can get in and shop!) LOL I will check in Monday, sooner if I have time.
