OT: Had an Emergency D&C

I cannot believe with all that has been happening that last night I went to my Gyno and told me I needed an emergency D&C!! " Like right now"!! So I came home (luckily my DMIL and DFIL were here already and could watch my kids); I picked up my DH and off we went. I was in the ER for 2 hrs. when my cell phone rang. It was my GYNO looking for me! She said" Where are U?" I told her I had been at the ER for just over 2 hrs and she told me that herself and the OR have been waiting for me. BOY oh BOY did they rush me through. On top of that they tried 3 times to start an IV. Nurse couldn't find a vein!!! BS!!! Well I have been home since 11:45 last night. I am tired and crampy but otherwise good. Just wanted to let you all know! Blessings, Dorothy in NY

O my gosh! wow what a shock that must have been for you! Its a good thing your family was there to help. I hope things get better and you recover well. Been there done that with IV's and my own non existent tiny little veins...I feel for ya! Linda

Oh I'm so sorry Dorothy, that must be a difficult thing to go throuogh. Thank God you're doing okay though!

Dorothy, I am sorry to hear you had to go through all that. Such a hectic day! I have problems getting in IV all the time. Where I take certain medications, my veins are non-existant. Hope the recovery goes fast and well!
