OT: here and gone again

Hi all,

WEll June has almost slipt away and I've hardly had a chance to do any scrapping or chatting. we have been away 2 of the previous 4 weeks and are heading out again for the long weekend. In between life has been hectic but good. Father's day weekend we went camping. A very wet weekend to be out in a tent but a good time and DH did do some photo hunting so I have more material to work with (not like that is really a problem). Dave, thanks for the Cathy comic. It fits perfectly and I hadn't even had a chance to read the funnies until you pointed it out. For the long weekend we are going camping with my family and going to a family reunion picnic on Sunday. I expect to meet many people that I have never met before.

I am still trying to sift through the posts for the month. I have looked at some of the LO's already and plan to look at the rest. Hopefully I don't miss anyone. For all those who have been away on vacation it sounds like you have had a good time. July looks like it will be quieter so I hope that I can enjoy some summer weather (I'm getting tired of the clouds and rain and waiting for sun) and do some scrapping and crafting with my DD's.

Sounds lkie you ahve been busy Lorilee! Though I must admit it sounds like alot of fun. I love to camp, but alas with DH and working opposite shifts it just doesn't work, what a pitty.

I know what you mean by meeting people you've never met before. Everytime DH's family gets together I meet someone/someone's new! LOL I think it's wonderful!

Have a grand time, take loads of pictures and enjoy being with family! Be safe

It has been alot of fun, though it could be more fun if the weather would co-operate. I awoke this morning to a growing puddle in my back yard. In the 3 1/2 years we have lived here we have only had this kind of puddle when we have a rapid snow melt, this is from hard rain. I'll be taking pics in a bit but the rain is coming down to hard right now.

This family reunion is for all the decendants of my father's great grandfather. It was 100 years ago that they settled in our province. My grandfather died prematurely due to a highway accident before my father went to school so we have only had a little contact with this branch of the family and most of the people will be people I have never met. It should be interesting. I think it will be a great weekend.
