Sunday here again

Wishing everyone a great weekend - as for here we have had some more rain - with cyclones upnorth we always get some rain which is good - but we are thankgul that is *all* we get.

Had a busy week finishing up things for our disabled friend like banks , and the final document signing for our friends unit sale etc. Tomorrow I will go and pack his suitcase up for him than early on Tuesday we take him to the airort for his flight south and I guess that will end the 26 or7 years we have been caring for him off and on.

Guess we will miss him very much - although he originally came to us as a tenant he has really become one of the family. So I guess that has taken up our week and Sunday - but tonight I will switch off and watch the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games. Have a nive day God Bless Gwen

It is Sunday here, too. Kandace is still sleeping, and I am about to get into the tub. Then I have to get her up and get ready for church. There is a sliding party this afternoon, and we will be working on her science project after that is over. Tonight, she has swim team - getting ready for a swim meet next week - and she is spending the night here again, as her mother is out of town. I also have to get some papers marked tonight. Wish me luck!

It is Mother's day here in UK. I have been with my DH to have lunch onboard the ship that my son is Chief Electronic Officer. It was in UK today. My other son also Chief Electronic Officer is on the sister ship but he is in Holland.

I had a marvellous bouquet of flowers from the son we visited.

It was lovely weather when we left and stayed dry for our journey but now we have the rain. Shirley

Hi Everyone,

Our day here in upstate NY started out with lovely sunshine, but by the time we came out from brunch it was cloudy and we had showers on the way home. At least it was a warmer rain so the grass is getting a little green, better then the brown that is showing now.

Hugs,

Nora

Thanks, Gwen. I got through it, but not without a temper tantrum. Sigh! God give me patience, now!

I am chiming in a bit late for the weekend - arrived home yesterday afternoon after a long flight and slept through for twelve hours.

I wondered about you when I heard of the cyclones but the news was not very specific about where they hit. I am glad to hear that you didn't get the full force as I understand they did quite a bit of damage.

I did manage to take two pictures of DH in the vest I made for him. He wore it a lot on the trip as it was chilly much of the time and he enjoyed the extra layer. I think if I was to make another I would add about 1/2 inch in length - but he is happy with it as is. I will post the pictures when he gets around to e-mailing them to me. Judy
