OT: hospital visits, scrappin and LIFE

I have been trying to keep up at least reading all the posts and replying to a few. Its been a hectic last couple of weeks for me. I thought things would slow down after graduation, I think I was wrong! My youngest DS's baseball games 2-3 nights a week, work, RCS swaps, housework, laundry..etc..I don't even have time to be sick! Last weekend I wasn't feeling too well, and just shook it off as fatigue, and stress. I worked a busy Saturday on cakes, and inventory on Sunday, and I felt even worse then. after 2 days of diarrhea and nausea, I had to call in sick to work, and take myself to the emergency room on Monday, for severe intestinal pain and cramps. I couldn't even stand up straight. Five hours later, I finally got to come home, with a diagnosis of Gastroenteritis, AKA stomach flu. UGH I was still sore two days later. Got some good pain meds and Pepcid AC to help my tummy. All better now, back to work!

I did get to squeeze in a night out with a couple of friends at a LSS to scrap on Friday night. One of the gals that went along with us is new. We are 'recruiting'..LOL She knows nothing, so of course we have to enable her and guide her to scrapbooking..muah ha ha ha!! It was only the three of us in the whole crop room that night, so it was nice to spread out. I bought a cool backgroung stamp that looks like wrinkled mesh,(or cheesecloth) and of course some paper, and some clearance stickers. I got the rest of my 6x6 pages for the Barn album done that night, and a couple of 12x12 pages.

My oldest DS calls us yesterday at my BIL's house, to tell us he wrecked a BMX bike (bicycle) and he "thinks" he cut his hand open. So we rush home to see how he is, and I wind up taking HIM to the ER at

8:30 last night for 5 stitches on his hand. The cut was in the meaty part of his thumb on his palm. It was gross, and had small gravel embedded in it, and the doc had to take xrays to see how bad the 'foreign objects" were, and had to dig and flush it all out. This was his first time EVER to an ER for stitches! He does not like needles and was very nervous! Home again at midnight, and back up at 5am to get ready for work. I am so tired..I have to go to card club tonight and I would so much rather stay home and rest! But I can't call off, it is one gals first night to host the party, and I wouldnt want to disappoint her. *sigh*

I am looking forward to my day off tomorrow like you wouldn't believe!!! Linda

My goodness! You definately need a day off. Sounds like you need some much needed rest, and for everyone to stay in one piece. :-)

HUGS! You have been busy. At least you have been finding time to scrap right? I am glad you are feeling better and I hope everyone is well tonight so no more ER visits.

Thanks Deb! I really could use more than a day, but I just had the weekend off, so I wont be able to take more until August, and that's my last vacation of the year.

Thanks Dave, thanks for the hug..I needed that! :-) DH is coping better than I thought he would. There are just those times that thoughts pop into his head that reminds him of his Dad. On Fathers Day we got together with all of his family out at his folks' place. They have decided to sell the farm. There is too much that needs to be done, and his Mom can't handle things on her own financially. No life insurance. Thanks so much for asking! :-)

Glad to see ya back! ( Did you get those pics I sent?)
